INTRODUCTION

Hence the career prospects young generation are bright in the various field of computer including networking software engineering, web designing. Multimedia, data mining etc. As a response to the exponentially growing market for information technology, the branch was introduced from the  academic year 2001-2002. Information Technology department received a greater focus after commencement and has rapidly developed as a leading branch. For learning, hands-on-experience and practice of real-life projects, a well furnished laboratory has been established with high configuration computer systems and software. The computer center operates 24 hours for students for hassle free learning experience. It has broadband internet connectivity round the clock.The department has been offering B.Tech degree level Program in Information Technology since 2001 with an intake of 42. The department takes immense interest in conducting professional activities such as organizing workshops, seminars and expert lectures to meet the challenges in the IT industry . The future agenda of the department is to further augment these professional activities Our students are highly sought after by the software industry and many of our graduates are holding top positions in IT industry all over the globe.
